Statement of Purpose for BUSINESS PROGRAMME (SPECIALIZING IN WORLD FINANCE OR STOCK EXCHANGE)

I am applying to COURSE NAME  at your UNIVERSITY  as I am looking to accentuate my business skills. I come from a family with a business background and I plan to join it after I graduate.
There comes a point in every student’s life when he has to make a choice of his career. I am now at the threshold of choosing my career and I have chosen to train myself in different aspects of Business Management as I am convinced that I can take my family business to the next level with the knowledge and experience I gain in this period.
I also wish to gain global exposure and understand the various dynamics that make up a successful business unit. I am deeply influenced by an experience shared by my friend who is a few years senior to me. My friend Sunil, an IT graduate from India got an MBA degree from a top university and worked for some of the best organisation in different parts of the globe. He came back to India armed with immense experience and knowledge and joined his family business. Today they have exceeded ten times their net value than what it was before Sunil joined them. Sunil’s experience has motivated me to pursue this course. I understand it will not be easy for me to undergo the rigorous curriculum that your University has devised for its students. However, I am confident of being able to not only cross over this barrier but also excel in most of my Business projects.

When I was in 9th Grade, we had organised a Fair at the school. The objective of the fair was to innovate a product, sell and earn profits which would then be given away to an NGO. I led my team, which comprised of 12 of us. We strategized plans and after brain storming for over two days cane up with the idea of putting up a stall that sold Sandwiches and lemonade. The idea was to cook a food item, that was instantaneous, could be modified to suit the customers palate, thus providing customer satisfaction. I negotiated with the suppliers as such that in case the raw materials were not used, they would be returned thus minimising our losses if any. In the end, our business model worked and was a success. There were last minute glitches like a customer returning a sandwich because he found it too spicy and something like they had asked for Cheese Sandwich and the one made was full of cheese. In these cases, we promptly gave them a sandwich as per their choice as customer satisfaction was most important to us. Minimal wastage was top most on our agenda. Managing the team was easy until the fair started. However once people started coming in placing orders, cancelling some, adding to earlier orders all set routines went for a toss. Impromptu decision helped the team to excel and I owe it to the deep understanding between the team. Preparing a budget for the project, gathering funds, fixing a price for different sandwiches as per the cost incurred was my responsibility. I am proud to say that we earned a substantial margin for our efforts. Thus, I have proved myself to be innovative and lead projects to success.
I have an inquisitive and independent mind and take my own decisions. This trait helped me to be the school Prefect at my school. I was member of the Consumer Council where we helped create awareness for consumer’s rights. It gave me insights into the consumer psyche. The decision to develop a career in Business has also solely been mine. I often participate in various Businesses and Management based Quiz shows, which throws light on different aspects of a business. By nature, I am an extrovert. Because of my organisational skills, I have often been responsible for some successful events in the neighbourhood. For instance, I have helped organise the Republic Day Parade and looked after catering and budgeting for this event. I believe my leadership skills along with my team building abilities and my above experiences will set me apart from most of my other classmates at your University.
An atmosphere as eclectic as your campus where I get to meet students from diverse backgrounds is a rich ground for me to expand my knowledge about people living in different parts of the globe, understand their lifestyles, their needs and their culture. This will play a significant part when I would start to build business models for the companies I work for or for my own company.
Of the other countries that could apply to, I choose UK. I want to study in UK because it is a breeding ground for intellectuals and London being the economic hub, UK gives global exposure to varied business houses. I would get a chance to intern with the best. UK is also one of the oldest and world’s most renowned education systems which boasts of some of the best universities in the world which offers good opportunities after the under grad course.  Studies in UK would provide me the unique combination of accelerated growth and the flexibility to pursue this career path as it is the epi centre of the world economy.
My belief is that Science and technology can innovate, produce a product but one needs business knowledge to market and sell the product. With this degree, I wish to pursue subjects that will give me a deep understanding of the several different aspects that go into creating a successful business. I aim to follow in my father’s footsteps but only after I gain considerable experience and knowledge at a global level. I would like to expand the business by venturing into newer areas. However, for this I need to study the market, strategize, seek funds and get a through grasp on the intricacies of running a successful business. I am confident that a business course from your esteemed University will help me achieve these goals.

  1. While the primary function of MBA curriculum is to generate increased learning over various aspects of an organization, it also places huge emphasis on the integration & connection for students to completely understand how management and leadership challenges unfold and how they themselves can add value to it. statement of purpose for mba

  3. Personal statement is now a very common self-written document to be presented by a candidate for the assessment of his/her skills to the review committee. It is a binding item of an application of a good profile university. sop for mba

  10. You have provided the great sample statement of purpose for mba in international business that contains really impressive inforamtion that can make the decision of the committee members and can bring you the success. So if you will use such a sample you can probably create your own statement of purpose but it does not mean that you can take this paper and just copy/past it with your own words. But there is one another way to create a personal statement. It is to hire professional writing services which will complete your papers within the required period of time.
